Capitola Begonia Festival - A Classic Capitola Event!
The annual Capitola Begonia Festival is coming up soon this Labor Day Weekend on Sunday September 5th. The Capitola Begonia Festival is such a classic event that I have been attending since I was young. I remember how fun it was to see the brightly decorated floats and the creative designs heading down the Soquel Creek into the lagoon on Capitola Beach.
The Capitola Begonia Festival officially began in 1954 and has been an annual event ever since. Tourists and locals alike attend and can help make the floats. Along the river in Capitola there are float making parties and festivities. The begonias come in bright magenta, yellow, pink, red, orange hues making for a vibrant visual scene.
Capitola has many events Labor Day Weekend including a Sand Castle Contest, Local Artists Displays, and Live Music.
Captiola is a wonderful place to play and to live. Visit here to search for your Capitola Beach Homes for sale!

I love Capitola......My wife and I agree it is one of our favorite places on the planet. How are real estate sales. How about rental vacation properties? We have rentals in Mexico and it is not going so well down there.......Have a great day....enjoy the ocean..
Jessica, I have a begonia festival poster from something like 1980 something in my family room. Moved all the way from Aptos to Gettysburg......good times
