TOP FIVE REASONS TO LIVE IN SANTA CRUZ, CA

There are many reasons to live in Santa Cruz, here is my list of the Top Five Reasons to Live in Santa Cruz, CA

1.  It's Beautiful - what more can you ask for, lovely Beaches, picturesque mountains with Redwood trees, creeks and sprinkled with State Parks (Big Basin, Henry Cowell, Natural Bridges)

2.  The Weather is Fantastic - (in my opinion anyways) Not too hot, not too cold with an average 300+ days of sun per year.  No snow shoveling, no 100+ degree heat, we are definitely spoiled with the weather in Santa Cruz.  There is no need for air conditioning - we have natures air conditioner - the Fog! We can have 80 degree weather in October in Santa Cruz!

3.  Outdoor Activities - SURFING (Santa Cruz has world class surfing at famous surf spots like Pleasure Point and Steamer's Lane)  MOUNTAIN BIKING (Nisene Marks and Wilder Ranch are some of the best places)   SAILING (check out the Wednesday night sailboat races in the summer from the Crow's Nest)  STAND UP PADDLEBOARDING

4.  Community Events and Music - Santa Cruz has a small town feel and it is easy to get to know your neighbors.  There are many fun events througout the year like the Begonia Festival, Capitola Art & Wine Festival, Greek Festival, Surf Contests (Coldwater Classic), Santa Cruz Blues Festival.  Go and see your favorite band at the Catalyst, Don Quixotes, Moe's Alley or Cypress.

5.  Great Dining and Food- The Food is Great - We have excellent Restaurants like Ristoranti Avanti, Oswalds, Cafe Sparrow, I can go on . . .  There is a wealth of yummy taquerias and small eateries catering to Vegetarians and gluten free diets.  There is no shortage of Healthy Grocery Stores like New Leaf Community Markets, Shoppers Corner, Staff of Life, The Food Bin and Herb Room, it is a easy to eat healthy in Santa Cruz.
