Scotts Valley is a city of obout 11,500 people in Santa Cruz County. Scotts Valley is located right of Highway 17 as you first come in to Santa Cruz County. Scotts Valley is a great commute location for those who work in the Silicon Valley/San Jose areas.
Let's take a look at how Scotts Valley home sales fared this summer of 2011:
In June, there were 11 Scotts Valley home sales, in July only 8, and in August there were 18 Scotts Valley home sales.
The average home sale prices in Scotts Valley ranged from a low of $515,000 in July to a high of $682,000 in June 2011. In 2010 the average Scotts Valley home sale price for the whole year was $594,000.
Over the past 2 years, home prices in Scotts Valley have been fairly stable, and the # of homes sold has been about the same each year since 2008 ( about 83-87 homes sell each year in Scotts Valley for these years).
Currently, the month supply of inventory in Scotts Valley is only 3 months, indicating a fairly strong real estate market there.
