CAPITOLA HOMES SALES - REAL ESTATE MARKET STATISTICS FOR CAPITOLA HOMES

So how is the real estate market in our favorite Northern Californian Beach Town Capitola?  For those who are not familiar with Capitola, it is a small city located in Santa Cruz County.  Capitola is a beach community within commute distance to San Jose and Silicon Valley areas. 

Real estate is local and parts of Santa Cruz are declining in price while others are stabilizing or increasing.  Let's take a look at the most recent home price and home sales statistics for Capitola in September 2010.

Capitola is a relatively small area so there is not a huge volume of home sales.  In September 2010 there were 6 closed home sales with a median price of $892,000.  This is much higher than the median home sales price for all of Santa Cruz County in September 2010 which was $525,000.

The highest priced closed home sale in September 2010 was one of the classic Capitola Venetians that sold for $1,525,000

The lowest priced home sale (closed escrow) in Capitola in September 2010 was on Escalona Dr in the lovely Depot Hill Neighborhood.  This Capitola home was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath and sold for $690,000.
