CAPITOLA HOME SALES - MID YEAR MARKET REPORT 2011
Capitola is one of Santa Cruz County's most desirable beach areas, set in a geographically beautiful location on the coast with views of Monterey Bay. Capitola Village has a quaint, European feel. Capitola is popular with tourists and locals alike for its great events like the Wednesday Night Capitola Twilight Summer Concert Series, Begonia Festival and Capitola Art and Wine Festival. Let's take a look at Capitola home sales from the first half of 2011.
Capitola is only about 2 square miles so there is not a lot of volume of Capitola home sales. From January to June 1st 2011 there have been 15 Capitola home sales (closed escrows)
The average price of a Captiola home sale in the first 6 months of 2011 is about $608,000. This is much higher than Santa Cruz County as a whole where the median home sale price in April 2011 was $455,000.
The highest Capitola home sale in this time period was a newer Craftsman style home near Gayle's Bakery, it sold for $1,040,000.
The lowest priced Capitola home sale was a 2 bedroom foreclosure on Bay St that sold for $409,900.
Capitola has some great neighborhoods like the Jewel Box and Depot Hill, where you will find some of the higher priced Capitola Real Estate. For more moderate real estate prices one should look at Capitola condos for sale.
