WHAT IS THE TRUE COST OF AN OCEAN VIEW IN A HOME IN SANTA CRUZ?

Some of the ocean view homes in Santa Cruz are owned as 2nd homes or vacation homes.  The owners may come from areas like Sacramento, San Jose, Stockton, Modesto and having an ocean view home in Santa Cruz is very important to them.  They aren't able to live in Santa Cruz year round so when they come here they want to be near the ocean as much as possible and enjoy it.

For other home buyers having a ocean view home is not as important.  They will pay much less for a home and have to walk to the beach or to the cliffs for their ocean view instead of enjoying it from the comfort of their living room but they can be saving themselves a lot of money.
