To Buy or Not to Buy ? - Renting vs Buying Santa Cruz

TO BUY OR NOT TO BUY - RENTING VS BUYING IN SANTA CRUZ

That is the question - Should I buy a home or continue to rent?  The answer depends on you and where you live but in many parts of California it really makes sense to buy a home rather than rent a home now.  In Santa Cruz the median home price is just over $600,000 right now but you can find homes for sale under $500,000 in Santa Cruz.  With these home prices and low interest rates it really may make sense for you to buy rather than rent in Santa Cruz.  Rents seem to be rising in Santa Cruz along with home prices.   If you are going to be living in the same place for 5 years or more it really makes sense to consider buying a home right now.
